David: I’m an entrepreneur involved with different ventures, who understands the role that digital marketing plays when it comes to success. Now that I’ve learned the ropes in digital marketing, I truly understand just how crucial it is to hone in on these techniques. That’s what draws me to this field. I see how much it can impact a business.
What are some key elements of digital marketing?
David: Gone are the days when you could just have one social media account. You have to have your eyes on every platform, and really leverage them for your business. I focus particularly on email marketing, which can lead to sales leads and repeat clients, when utilized correctly. I also focus on Linkedin, which I think not enough entrepreneurs use. But it builds your personal brand as part of your professional identity and gives you credibility. Then there’s the power trio: Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, which all come with their own challenges and benefits. TikTok is a new one I’m keeping an eye on as well.
What are some major mistakes people make when turning to internet marketing?
David: The problem with internet marketing is that your pitfalls are public and highly visible. If you stumble in your brand development, or a product launch, all of your potential customers see it. I see that a lot — entrepreneurs who launch something without a solid plan. When their venture flops, it puts a dent in their reputation as a whole. David: Just like any other successful entrepreneurs, prioritizing my health comes first. It’s definitely important for me to find time to relax and unwind as well. I’m a big fan of skydiving. I find it to be a complete thrill, and I’m totally hooked. I also love to spend time on the open water in my boat, with some of my favorite tunes.
