God’s Revelation
It is so easy to think that God has abandoned or ignored you during rough times, but adversity comes because there is sin in the world. Jesus said in John 16, verse 33, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” The answer to life does not lie in changing your circumstances but rather in having a change in perspective.
In Luke 10:19, it says, “Behold! I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.” Do you believe that what Jesus told the disciples applies to you? Remember that you have the same authority over the enemy despite challenging situations.
The difference between before and now is that Jesus walked among his disciples. It may appear like an unfair advantage, but if we believe that God is who He says He is and He can do what He says He can do, you do not have to fear harm. If you have the Holy Spirit dwelling within you, you are the one with the unfair advantage and guaranteed to have power over the enemy and overcome any obstacles.
